Suburban Outsitters is a small group of pet lovers that would rather spend our time with animal friends than most people!We take what is most important about our job to heart - your pet and its well-being! So how did Suburban Outsitters come about? I was in an industry for a long time that due to travel, did not allow me to have a pet and care for it responsibly. So I couldn't have a pet. And, I was BORN wanting a pet.
I finally left that industry, got the menagerie I so wanted and life was good. Then the need to travel and leave my pets for an entire day cropped up...what do I do? Who do I trust that will take care of them the (spoiled) way that I do? What happens when I need to be away OVERNIGHT??
Tried a mid-day dog walker. Came home early one day and found the walker laying on my sofa watching TV when they should have been walking the dogs. Great.
I tried having a friend stay at my home while away for training for a week. Also didn't work out. There was no connection between my friend and the animals - chaos was probably the best word to describe what I came home to at the end of the week. I tried a pet hotel....my pets were thin, miserable and wouldn't look at me for hours when I picked them up. What did they do there???
Finally, I thought I can not be the only one with these issues. I am sure there are many others out there with the same feelings about their pets - who get anxious at the thought of leaving for extended periods of time. Maybe I should be the answer for the pet parents who need someone to trust and care for their pets when they can't?!!

We know the benefits of exercising - for us and in particular for our pets.Many behavior problems are a result of boredom - whether its constant barking, scratching or chewing - a tired puppy or kitten is a happy pet (so is the owner!).

So now you know, we love and have surrounded ourselves with pets and understand the importance of being able to trust others to love and care for the animals we cherish. We know that there are times when you have to be away from your pet(s) and you need someone to help out while you are gone. That kind of help is what Suburban Outsitters is all about!
